The hearts and the dreams of the U.S. distance runner from the prep to elite levels have been inspired by you and your remarkable achievements. Individually you have been the best. We ask you now while our nation is upon the precipice of what could be the catalyst for changing everything, for what purpose did you do those things?

Before you now lies one of the great challenges of the human spirit, the World Cross Country Championships. An event centered on challenging the human spirit against the adversity of the Earth, personal desire, and the will of your fellow men. There are no circles, no flat terrain, only pure adversity, the challenge of teamwork and the spirit of man and nation.
